Name
encodedesk: one place for every developer tool you need
Synopsis
encodedesk [--browser] [--api] [tool ...]
Description
EncodeDesk started from a familiar annoyance: a browser full of bookmarked single-purpose tools, half of them slow, most of them ad-choked. We wanted one place, clean, fast, and free, where the tools just worked.
“Every developer has a folder of bookmarked single-purpose tools scattered across the internet. We wanted one place, clean and fast, where the tools just work.”
- encodedesk team
Every one of the 238 tools here runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you paste is ever sent anywhere unless you explicitly call the REST API. That isn't a privacy feature bolted on afterward; it's the whole architecture.
Options
- --privacy-first
- Every tool runs in your browser. Nothing leaves your machine.
- --zero-friction
- No install, no sign-up, no onboarding. Open and use.
- --built-to-last
- No paywalled browser tools, ever. Free is the product.
- --open-by-default
- Full API docs, OpenAPI spec, and a REST API for automation.
